Does it bring me joy?
If it does, that’s what I want in my life.
This was brought home to me when with my daughter, we watched Marie Kondo on Netflix. Marie said that If it doesn’t bring you joy, to let it go. Also, to thank each item for the time it was in my life, and now it’s time for this to go to someone else. Living in gratitude for the abundance I had that I no longer need. Half my closet went when I looked at each item and asked the question, “Does this bring me joy?”
And, I do feel much better, more abundant having less. I must say that it really is an amazing feeling to look at my closet now and how I literally can feel how each item actually brings me joy, as I have very specifically chosen each to be with me, to feel the joy each imparts.
When I really thought about this and dug deeper, these concepts are applicable to everything in life. It’s all about de-cluttering and organizing. This brings in clarity, openness, and lightness to living – Joy. With more Joy, I am able to do more. There is less clutter in my brain since I have done more organization. There is room for more abundance to arrive with Joy.
One day I will take this further into my library of research papers, and I know this will bring more abundance, definitely more abundance of Joy, plus who knows what else.
Nurturing an abundance mindset, creating, and watching abundance grow. I love it!!
