‘My Story Is My Greatest Asset’ …Travel Along, Day 21

‘My Story Is My Greatest Asset’

The next 6 lines are how amazingly great I thought my story was, and what I had to say about it:

What do you think about the above 6 lines?  Pretty good stuff, huh?!

I felt I had nothing to say.

Now, I’m actually writing.

Before GRIT StoryAthlete (working out and writing a post)…literally sitting down to write a post on Facebook, my mind would go absolutely blank, just like above.

Only one thought came up: ‘I have nothing to say’.

I did this day after day.  Same result.  A blank page from a blank mind.

So I decided, the topic must be: ‘I have nothing to say’.

Same result as above.  Blank.  I had nothing to say.

So here I am, at GRIT, with an actual story every day.

Other people have gone through horrific things in life, the unspeakable.

My story can help others through the pain, failures, setbacks, losses, and defeats.  Through what others have done to them.  Through what they have done to themselves, many times unknowingly.  Through thoughts and feelings they absorbed from others.  Through how they were taught to be.  Through inherited cultural, societal, and generational imbalances.  Through PTSD and traumas of all kinds.  Through the unspeakable, where it’s easier to be blank, to be numb, to block out, than to speak.  Because if you spoke, all HELL broke loose.

Just like me.

Those past stories, I have come through and saw the other side.

I just hadn’t been ready to tell it.

My story is my greatest asset.
